Singing talent shows like the X factor dominated many of our TV screens until Britain’s Got Talent came along, which opened it’s doors to dancing talent. The show brought us brilliant acts like Flawless, Signature, Stavros Flatly and previous winners, George Sampson and Diversity who we all went crazy for.
From here we had a thirst for real dance, whether it was to actively go dance or want more on our screens. And that’s when shows like Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing On Ice, So You Think You Can Dance and Got To Dance were brought to us.
We have had many popular ‘dance crazes’ over the years, which have proven to be so infectious, that if the right music was playing we would secretly want to get down and bust out some mad shapes…which that embarrassing uncle feels it is necessary to do at every family gathering!
